TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:
Talamore and Mid South Golf Clubs
July 17-18, 2023
PRACTICE ROUND: $45 - one round each course per player. Available dates to be determined.
Monday, July 17 - 830 Shotgun
Round one, 18 holes of stroke play (Talamore). Lunch post play.
Tuesday, July 19 - 830 Shotgun
Final round. 18 holes of stroke play (Mid South). Awards lunch immediately following round.
BENEFIT:
This event raises funds for Friend to Friend, a Moore County non-profit organization whose mission is to help survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault rebuild their lives.
ELIGIBILITY:
Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who has reached her 16th birthday by July 17, 2023 has a current, verifiable USGA Handicap Index® No residency requirement.
ENTRIES AND ALTERNATES:
The entry fee of $170 must be paid by each player and must accompany registration. Only one entry fee per application.
REFUND POLICY:
Entry fee refund policy schedule: Open Date to Close Date: Full refund minus $30 donation to Friend to Friend. No refund after July 7, 2023 at 5pm. Alternates not accepted for play will receive a refund of her entry fee. Any additional donation goes to Friend to Friend.
FORMAT:
The championship is conducted at 36 holes of stroke play. A tie for over-all low gross champion is determined by an on-course playoff. All other ties will be broken by score card playoff in accordance with USGA recommended procedures. The over-all low net player receives the "Friendship" trophy. Competition Yardage: Appox 5,100 yards
COURSE FEES; GOLF CARTS; CADDIES:
All tournament golf, prize, and award luncheons are included in entry fee. Caddies are not allowed.
Practice round fee $45
PRIZES:
The Moore County Women's Amateur trophy is awarded to the over-all champion and merchandise certificates are awarded to flight winners.
The over-all low net player is the Friendship winner.
The permanent trophy is engraved with the champion's name. This trophy is housed in the Tufts Archives throughout the year in the Village of Pinehurst.
